Biomass Briquette Press Machine For Sawdust, Straw, Cow Dung & Wood Waste

biomass briquetting machine is a piece of equipment that compresses loose agricultural and forestry waste into dense, solid briquettes. These briquettes burn longer, produce more heat, and are much easier to store and transport than raw materials like straw, sawdust, or tree branches.

If you have crop residues or wood waste lying around, this machine helps you turn them into something useful – clean fuel for heating, cooking, or industrial use.

Main Types of Biomass Briquette Press Machine

Sawdust briquetting machine is a screw extruder designed to produce briquettes from biomass materials as a fuel source. It plays a vital role in the production of biochar briquettes, also known as biomass briquette press or charcoal machine. Tiantai Sawdust Briquette Making Machine makes your manufacturing business more efficient and profitable. Turn sawdust waste into revenue.

Straw briquetting machine is a device that crushes and compresses biomass materials such as straw into strip fuel. After practice and continuous improvement, straw briquetting machine has been perfected. Straw briquetting machine has the advantages of high degree of automation, high output, low price, low power consumption, simple operation and no pollution to the environment.

The Branch & Bark Briquetting Press is a specialized industrial machine designed to convert woody biomass waste—primarily forestry and arboricultural residues like branches, bark, twigs, and wood chips—into compact, high-density solid fuel briquettes. It employs a high-pressure mechanical process to transform low-bulk-density, difficult-to-handle materials into a standardized, energy-dense commodity.

The Cow Dung Briquette Machine is a specialized press designed to transform raw cow dung and other similar agricultural waste into dense, high-calorific solid fuel blocks. Utilizing high-pressure compaction technology, this machine effectively converts loose, wet manure into uniform and easy-to-handle briquettes, providing a practical solution for waste management and renewable energy creation.

Working Principle of Biomass Briquetting Machine

The machine uses a ring die and roller system. Here’s what happens:

  1. Pretreated material goes into the hopper. A screw conveyor moves it evenly into the space between the ring die and the pressing rollers.

  2. As the die and rollers turn, the material gets squeezed into the gaps. The pressure keeps rising until the particles are forced into the die holes.

  3. When the pressure overcomes the friction inside the holes, the material comes out as dense, rod‑shaped briquettes. They break or cut to the desired length automatically.

The whole process is continuous, stable, and requires little supervision once the machine is running.

Raw Materials For Biomass Briquetting Machine

The machine works with many types of biomass waste:

  • Crop residues: wheat straw, rice straw, corn stalks, cotton stalks, peanut shells, rice husks

  • Wood waste: sawdust, wood chips, tree branches, bark, offcuts

  • Other organic material: fruit peels (orange, pomelo), vegetable waste, cattle manure, and even properly pretreated kitchen waste

Make sure to chop and dry the raw material first. That gives it the right texture for pressing.

Application Fields of Biomass Briquettes

Briquettes made by this machine can be used in many places:

  • Home heating and cooking – household stoves, hot water boilers, greenhouses. They replace firewood, coal, or LPG.

  • Industrial boilers and kilns – brick kilns, ceramic kilns, drying ovens, chemical plants. The briquettes burn steadily with high heat output.

  • Biomass power plants – many straw‑fired power plants prefer densified fuel because it feeds easily and burns predictably.

  • Animal feed and fertilizer – with slight adjustments, the same machine can also produce feed pellets for poultry, pigs, cattle, and fish. And as mentioned, the ash makes excellent organic fertilizer.

ZZCHRYSO Biomass Briquette Press Machine – FAQ

A: It compresses loose agricultural and forestry waste – such as sawdust, straw, rice husks, peanut shells, corn stalks, and even cow dung – into dense, solid briquettes. These briquettes burn longer, produce more heat, and are much easier to store and transport than raw material. ZZCHRYSO machines turn waste into clean fuel for heating, cooking, or industrial use.

A: It handles a wide range: wheat straw, rice straw, corn stalks, cotton stalks, peanut shells, rice husks, sawdust, wood chips, tree branches, bark, fruit peels (orange, pomelo), vegetable waste, cattle manure, and even properly pretreated kitchen waste. The key is to chop and dry the material first.

A: Our ZZCHRYSO machine produces briquettes with a density above 1.2 g/cm³ – far denser than loose biomass. They have high calorific value, burn steadily, and last much longer than raw material. A typical briquette can directly replace coal, firewood, or LPG in many applications.

A: Yes. Compared to coal, biomass briquettes release much less SO₂ and NOx – no acid rain gases. The ash is rich in calcium, magnesium, potassium, and sodium, so it can be used as organic fertilizer. The process is carbon‑neutral (plants absorbed CO₂ while growing). ZZCHRYSO machines help you reduce your carbon footprint.

A: Pretreated material feeds into a hopper. A screw conveyor moves it evenly into the space between a rotating ring die and pressing rollers. High pressure forces the material into the die holes. When the pressure overcomes internal friction, dense rod‑shaped briquettes exit and automatically break to the desired length. The process is continuous and stable.

A: Yes. For best results, chop or grind the material to a uniform size (usually under 10–20 mm) and dry it to about 12–18% moisture content. Too wet, and the briquettes won’t hold together. A ZZCHRYSO machine can be paired with a hammer mill and dryer for a complete line.

A: Many places – home heating and cooking (stoves, hot water boilers, greenhouses), industrial boilers (brick kilns, ceramic kilns, drying ovens), biomass power plants, and even as animal feed or fertilizer if you adjust the formula. ZZCHRYSO briquettes are versatile clean fuel.

A: Routine tasks: check ring die and roller wear (replace when worn), lubricate bearings and drive chains, clean the hopper and screw conveyor, inspect the discharge port for blockages, and monitor the motor and belt tension. The machine is designed for easy access to wear parts. We provide a full manual and spare parts support.
