Peanut shell pellets, the full name of which is peanut shell pellet fuel, are made of peanut shells through a high-tech compression pellet machine to form cylindrical 8mm thick pellet fuels, with a length of 3-5cm and a low calorific value of about 3800 kcal. They are mainly used to replace coal for combustion and are a new type of environmentally friendly fuel. Because of their small size after processing, they are convenient for storage and transportation, reduce transportation costs, have high calorific value, are environmentally friendly, sulfur-free, smokeless and odorless, and can directly replace coal.

Peanut shell pellet machine
Peanut shell pellet machine is a special equipment that converts biomass waste such as peanut shells, straw, and sawdust into high-density fuel pellets through extrusion molding technology.
Peanut shell pellet machines are available in two types: flat die and ring die. The former is usually used for small-scale pellet production and is favored by household users and farmers, while the latter is used for large-scale production of pellets, and medium-sized and large-scale pellet production enterprises use them for large boilers and power generation.
Peanut shell pellet machine is a complete set of mechanized production equipment for pellet fuel made of rural wheat stalks, cotton stalks, rice husks, peanut shells and other crops and solid waste as raw materials, which are crushed, pressurized and densified. The pellet fuel blocks after processing are small in size, heavy in specific gravity, resistant to combustion, easy to store and transport, and have a density of 0.9-1.4g/m3. The calorific value can reach 3500-5500 kcal. It is a solid fuel with high volatile matter. The pellet fuel processed by the peanut shell pellet machine can replace firewood, raw coal, liquefied gas and other heat sources.

The process of making peanut shell pellet fuel
1. Raw material pretreatment
It is best to use peanut shell from peanut shelling plants as raw materials. Such peanut shells can be processed directly without crushing. If it is a whole peanut shell, it needs to be crushed. The moisture content of peanut shells is generally controlled between 12%- 25%. Too wet or too dry is not conducive to processing. Too dry or too wet requires mixing the dry and wet raw materials to a suitable degree of humidity.
2. Press pellets by pellet machine
The processed peanut shells are fed into the pellet machine through the feeding port. After mechanical high temperature and high pressure processing, peanut shells are processed into peanut shell pellet fuel. The diameter of the peanut shell pellet fuel is adjustable, and the length is 30 to 50mm.
3. Cooling
The moisture content of the peanut shell pellet fuel just processed is between 15%-18%, and the moisture content after cooling is between 10%-12%.
4. Packaging
According to different customer requirements, peanut shell pellet fuel is generally available in bulk, bagged, ton bags, etc.

Uses of peanut shell pellets
Peanut shell pellets are an environmentally friendly fuel made from peanut shells as raw materials. They are widely used and have significant economic and environmental value.
1. Industrial boilers replace coal
The calorific value of peanut shell pellet fuel is about 3800 kcal/kg, which can directly replace coal for industrial boilers, especially suitable for chain boilers, reducing sulfur emissions and environmental pollution. It has high combustion efficiency, and the ash can be recycled as potash fertilizer.
2. Power generation and heating
In waste power plants or biomass power generation projects, peanut shell particles can be used as power generation fuel and provide centralized heating for industrial areas.
3. Civil heating and life energy
Suitable for home heating, kitchen energy and other scenarios, burning smokeless and odorless, high safety.

Advantages of peanut shells as a raw material for pellet fuel
1. High combustion efficiency.
The calorific value is due to the high density of peanut shell pellet fuel, so the combustion efficiency is high. When burning, the central temperature can reach more than 1100 degrees Celsius. Calorific value per kilogram can reach 3700 ~ 4000 kcal; density of 1.1 tons per cubic meter; in comparison with coal, oil, but also shows its own unique advantages.
2. High fire power and low residual ash.
Peanut shell pellet fuel has the characteristics of not being deformed and scattered as a whole in combustion, and it is easy to burn. Due to high pressure forming, the pellets are dense, so they are resistant to combustion and have high fire power and temperature. Together with reasonable air distribution and sufficient oxygen supply, it can achieve secondary combustion, thus no pollution and high combustion efficiency, which is a relatively ideal clean energy.
3. Clean and environmental protection.
The use of peanut shell pellet fuel, clean, environmental protection, pollution is small. Therefore, the use of peanut shell pellet fuel is an effective way to improve air quality and avoid the greenhouse effect.
4. Convenient transportation and easy storage.
As the peanut shells are made into pellets, the volume is compressed nearly 9 times, so it is small in size, which is convenient for transportation and storage, greatly reducing the cost of storage and transportation.

Precautions for peanut shell particle processing
1. If the peanut shell raw material is peanut shelling raw material, it can be processed directly without crushing. If it is the whole peanut shell, it needs to be crushed. The moisture content of peanut shell raw materials is generally controlled at 13%-18%. Too damp or too dry is not conducive to processing.
2. The raw materials must be iron-free and impurity-free to prevent foreign matter from entering the granulation room, causing vibration of the fuselage and cracking of the mold.
3. Avoid using inferior molds with out-of-round and rough inner holes, and select the compression ratio of the mold according to different formulas to ensure smooth discharge of the mold and avoid increasing power consumption and reducing production capacity.
4. Adjust the gap between the mold and the roller every shift. If the machine is blocked, the roller must be loosened, the material on the inner wall of the mold must be cleared, and the gap between the rollers must be readjusted. It must not be started forcibly to avoid damage to the transmission parts and bearings due to severe vibration.
5. Avoid overload production. The production process cannot exceed the working capacity of the pellet machine itself, otherwise the motor will be damaged and the parts will wear out faster, shortening its service life.
6. If there is an abnormal noise during the production process, the power supply must be cut off immediately, and the machine can be started to continue production after checking and handling the abnormal situation.
