Product Description

8‑Row Through‑Feed Drilling Machine is designed for high‑volume inline drilling of balsa wood and PET/PVC foam panels – the core materials used in wind turbine blades and composite sandwich structures. It has eight rows of drill spindles (16 motors total) that punch holes simultaneously as the panel moves through the machine. The whole process is continuous: load one panel, it feeds in, gets drilled, and comes out the other end ready for resin infusion. No manual indexing, no stopping.

The hole pattern (20×20, 40×40, or 20×40 mm spacing) and hole diameter (1–4 mm) can be changed via the touch screen. Feeding length and perforation depth are controlled by a servo motor, so you get consistent results across every panel. Cycle time is about 1.5–2 minutes per piece.

Features of 8‑Row Through‑Feed Drilling Machine

  • 8 rows of spindles (16 independent motors) – Each spindle runs at 3000 RPM. Together they drill a full panel in one pass, not row by row.

  • Continuous through‑feed operation – Panels go in one end and come out the other. Perfect for inline production lines – no extra handling.

  • Adjustable hole spacing and diameter – Three preset options (20×20, 40×40, 20×40 mm) and hole sizes from 1 mm to 4 mm. Covers most infusion requirements.

  • Servo‑controlled feeding length and drilling depth – You set the parameters on the touch screen. The servo adjusts feed length and how deep the holes go. No mechanical changes needed for different panel sizes.

  • Touch screen HMI – All parameters (speed, depth, spacing, hole size) are changed digitally. Saves setup time when switching between product types.

  • Large workpiece capacity – Handles panels up to 2700 mm long, 1350 mm wide, and 80 mm thick. That’s big enough for standard wind blade core blocks.

PurposeFoam and balsa perforation for resin infusion

Application Areas

  1. Wind turbine blade core perforation
The main job. Balsa and foam panels need tiny holes so resin can move from one side to the other during vacuum infusion. This machine makes those holes fast and accurately.

  2. Composite sandwich panel manufacturing
Anywhere you have a foam or balsa core that will be infused with resin – marine panels, railcar floors, truck bodies. The through‑feed design fits right into a panel production line.

  3. High‑volume core material processing
If you’re making hundreds of panels per shift, this machine saves a lot of time. Eight rows working together means you’re not drilling one hole at a time or moving a single spindle across the panel.

  4. PET foam and PVC foam perforation
Works on closed‑cell foams too. The speed and depth control prevent crushing the foam while still making clean holes.
