Product Description

Bottom Surface Wide Belt Sander 02

The bottom wide belt sander is specially designed for sanding the bottom surface of the workpiece to remove surface defects and improve smoothnessIt can be widely used in the thickness determination and surface polishing of various artificial boards, veneers and solid wood boards, and can also be used for sanding of wood floors, door panels and board furniture materials.

Wide belt sander suitable for surface grinding and fine grinding of solid wood, wood materials and similar panel materials. Mainly used for sanding of flat boards, such as plywood, core of blockboard, core board of panel furniture, etc., to make the surface of the board smooth and flat, and the thickness is controlled within 0.10mm

The uses of the wide belt sanding machine are mainly as follows:

1. Sanding to improve the thickness accuracy of the workpiece. For example: the veneer substrate needs to be sanded to a certain thickness before veneer.

2. Surface sanding refers to improving the surface quality by evenly sanding off a layer of sand on the board surface to eliminate the knife marks left by the previous process, making the board surface beautiful and smooth. It is also used for veneer, dyeing, printing, and painting.

3. Sanding refers to the rough sanding process on the back of the decorative board to ensure the bonding strength between the decorative board (veneer) and the substrate.

Working principle of Wood Wide Belt Sanding Machine

When the machine is started and operates normally according to the normal procedure, the slab to be ground is first fed to the upper and lower coarse sand rollers from the right end of the machine through the plate limit device and the conveying roller. The high-speed rotating sand belt grinds the upper and lower surfaces of the slab at the same time to achieve fixed thickness grinding, and finally removes the remaining surface dust through the discharge end and sends it out of the machine. Each sand roller and cleaning roller has a powerful dust suction device, and the grinding dust is sucked away by the dust suction port. The slab after grinding finally obtains a finished product with a flat and smooth surface and thickness that meets the requirements.

The sanding machine is mainly composed of five parts: frame, sand frame, feed mechanism, dust suction device and electronic control system. Its sand frame components are mainly composed of contact rollers, tensioning rollers, guide rollers, press grinders, tensioning cylinders, sand belt movement devices, beams, sand belts and bearing seats, which are the core components of the sanding machine to achieve the main cutting motion.

ZZCHRYSO Bottom Surface Wide Belt Sander Machine – FAQ

A: It sands the bottom surface of flat panels to remove defects, improve smoothness, and achieve precise thickness (within ±0.10 mm). Our ZZCHRYSO machine is ideal for artificial boards, veneers, solid wood boards, flooring, door panels, and furniture components. It handles both thickness sanding and fine finishing in one pass.

A: The panel feeds into the machine from the right end. High‑speed rotating sanding belts contact the bottom surface, performing fixed‑thickness sanding. The machine can have multiple sanding units (two or three heads), each with contact rollers, tensioning rollers, and cleaning rollers. Powerful dust extraction removes chips. The conveyor bed speed (5–25 m/min) is adjustable via the control panel.

A: Three models: CRS‑MSG630 R‑R‑RP(D) (working width 30–630 mm), CRS‑MSG1000 R‑R‑RP(D) (30–1000 mm), and CRS‑MSG1300 R‑R‑RP(D) (30–1300 mm). Thickness range: 2–100 mm; min. working length: 420–510 mm; feed speed: 5–25 m/min; total motor power: 36.87 kW (630), 44.37 kW (1000), 95.05 kW (1300). Dust extraction: 8200 m³/h.

A: Three main types: Thickness sanding – improves thickness accuracy (e.g., veneer substrate prep). Surface sanding – removes knife marks and prepares for veneer, dyeing, printing, or painting. Backer sanding – rough sands the back of decorative boards to improve bonding strength to the substrate.

A: Delta PLC control with touchscreen for precise adjustment. Heavy‑duty construction with one‑piece pulley cylinders. Fully enclosed dust collection system. The sanding heads are configured with two rolls and one pad: front sand frame uses an adjustable steel roll, rear sand frame uses a combination structure for polishing. Conveyor speed is adjustable via reducer motor.

A: Yes. The combination of coarse (e.g., 80 mesh) and fine (120 mesh) sanding belts, along with the eccentric rubber roller and aluminum alloy sanding pad, ensures a uniform, scratch‑free surface. The intelligent temperature controller and adjustable speed help maintain consistent quality.

A: It has a high‑capacity dust removal system extracting 8200 m³/h. Port sizes: three ∮150 mm (630/1000 models) or three ∮200 mm (1300 model). Each sanding roller and cleaning roller has a dedicated suction port to keep the work area clean and protect operators.

A: Solid wood flooring, panel furniture manufacturing, door production, bamboo and wood curtains, handicrafts, and engineered wood processing. It’s also used for brushing and pulling natural wood grain on solid wood boards, veneers, and even wood‑plastic composites.

A: Yes. The machine features a stable frame, open pulley assembly for easy belt changes, and a whole‑covering dust collect system that simplifies cleaning. The Delta PLC also provides fault diagnostics. Routine maintenance includes checking belt wear, cleaning dust ports, and lubricating bearings.

A: Absolutely. It is often used in sanding production lines for accurate measurement of unpainted workpieces and fine polishing. The feed speed and belt combinations can be matched with upstream and downstream equipment (e.g., planers, coaters) for continuous operation.
