The double‑head vacuum coating machine (also known as a twin‑head vacuum sprayer or vacuum painting line) is a specialised automated finishing system designed for the high‑speed, uniform coating of straight‑line wood workpieces – such as door frames, baseboards, window casings, picture frames, curtain rods, flooring strips, wall panels, and various profiled mouldings. Unlike conventional open‑air spray booths, this machine operates within a sealed vacuum chamber, using high‑pressure atomisation to apply liquid coatings – including UV paints, water‑based primers, PU, NC, PE, PC, wood oils, and waxes – onto three or four sides of the workpiece simultaneously.

Working Principle of Double‑Head Vacuum Coating Machine

  1. Workpiece Feeding – The linear profile (e.g., a door frame or baseboard) is placed onto the conveyor belt and moves into the sealed vacuum coating chamber at a controlled speed (0.5–40 m/min).

  2. High‑Pressure Atomisation – Paint is pumped from the storage tank to the spray heads, where it is atomised into a fine mist by high‑pressure air or hydraulic pressure. The two heads can apply the same or different coatings independently.

  3. Vacuum Deposition – Inside the vacuum chamber, the atomised paint is uniformly drawn onto all exposed surfaces of the workpiece – including the top, bottom, and side faces (up to four sides) – ensuring complete coverage of grooves, recesses, and profiles without runs or misses.
