Hollow particleboard making machine is a hot pressing molding equipment specially used for producing hollow particleboard. Its core function is to press wood chips and adhesives into lightweight boards with hollow (cavity) structure under high temperature and high pressure. Compared with traditional solid particleboard, hollow particleboard has better lightweight, sound insulation, material saving and other properties, and is widely used in furniture door core, indoor lightweight partition wall, office furniture and other fields.

The Raw Materials For Hollow Core Chipboard Machine

Wood raw materials: various wood fragments, such as wood chips, sawdust, shavings, etc. These wood raw materials usually come from felled timber between forests, small-diameter timber (usually less than 8 cm in diameter), logging residues and wood processing residues.

Non-wood materials: In addition to wood, tubular particleboard can also use some non-wood materials, such as plant stems (such as corn stalks), seed husks, etc., which can replace part of the wood raw materials, reduce production costs and improve environmental protection.

Adhesive: When making tubular particleboard, urea-formaldehyde resin glue and phenolic resin glue are usually used as the main adhesives. The adhesive cures at high temperatures and is effective at bonding wood pieces or other materials together.

Hollow Core Chipboard is also called “hollow tubular particleboard” or “bridge mechanical board“, which is a type of extruded particleboard. Its interior is composed of multiple hollow tubular structures, similar to the mechanical design of honeycomb or arch bridge holes, and is made by gluing directional wood fragments under high temperature and high pressure.

Characteristics of Hollow Core Chipboard

Lightweight and high strength: 30%-50% lighter than ordinary solid particleboard, with good load-bearing performance;
Good sound insulation and heat insulation: the hollow structure can effectively block sound waves and heat conduction;
Environmental protection and material saving: save raw materials and adhesives, reduce carbon emissions;
Surface veneer treatment: suitable for various finishing processes, such as stickers, melamine, veneer, etc.

Main Applications of Hollow Core Chipboard

Door core material: widely used in door core boards such as interior doors and anti-theft doors, replacing traditional solid wood, with both lightness and stability.
Architectural decoration: suitable for scenes such as partition walls and ceilings that require lightness and high strength.
Furniture manufacturing: Some furniture parts (such as cabinet back panels) use tubular structures to reduce the overall weight
