Product Description

RDF briquetting machine can briquette industrial waste (leftovers from clothing factories, unloading machines from shoe factories, dust bags from factory buildings, waste plastics from paper mills, domestic waste, etc.). The pressed products are mainly used to supply power plants for burning. The pressed products not only perfectly solve the storage and transportation problems of these wastes, but also can be comprehensively reused.

Industrial waste briquetting machine (RDF briquetting machine) uses solid waste such as crops, weeds, branches, leaves, sawdust, bark, cloth strips, leather, etc. as raw materials, and after crushing, pressurizing, densifying, and molding, it becomes a small stick-shaped solid briquette fuel.

Working principle of RDF Briquette Machine

The briquetting machine consists of a machine base, a protective cover, a feed port, a pressing wheel, a flat die, and a discharge port. Its working principle is: the material to be pressed should be crushed first, and its length should be 30-60mm, and the moisture content should be within the range of 15%-25%. The material is fed into the feed port of the briquetting machine through the feeding conveyor, and the material is evenly dispersed in the working area between the pressing wheel and the flat die. The main shaft rotates, driving the pressing wheel to rotate, and the material is forced to be squeezed out of the flat die in blocks and falls from the discharge port.

Features

1.Large capacity

The capacity of the general thermal capacity biofuel is 30-50 kg/ m³,and the capacity of this product is 800-1300 kg/m³,about 20 times than the general thermal capacity biofuel.
2.High Heat efficiency
The heat utilization of biomass is only 10%-20%,and the combustion utilization rate can reach more than 40% after curing.
3.Clean and hygienic, non-polluting
Biomass-cured fuels can achieve“zero emission” during combustion.
4.Biomass resource is huge and easy to take

Application of RDF Briquette

RDF fuel briquette technology has brought vitality to waste energy and has become a new growth point in the field of waste utilization. It is widely used in coal-fired power plants, thermal power plants, waste incineration power plants, thermal power plants, cement plants and other enterprises, effectively accelerating the transformation and upgrading of the power industry, and gradually realizing the green and low-carbonization of power production, contributing to the national energy transformation.

Whole Production Line

After the municipal solid waste is shredded by the dual-shaft shredder and fine shredder, it enters the RDF molding machine and is extruded into RDF high-density particles, which are used as fuel for power plants to generate electricity and realize resource reuse. The garbage-derived fuel RDF processed by the RDF production line has significant advantages such as high calorific value, stable combustion conditions, RDF volatile content of more than 75%, and moisture content of less than 20%. It can be used in large-scale circulating fluidized bed boilers. The use of mixed combustion coupled power generation and large-scale replacement of coal-fired fuels saves enterprises a lot of coal-fired fuel costs, and also ensures the safety, stability, and continuous operation of power plants, and emissions fully meet standard requirements.

ZZCHRYSO RDF/RPF Briquette Machine – FAQ

A: It compresses solid waste – such as agricultural residues (straw, weeds, branches, leaves), industrial waste (cloth strips from garment factories, leather scraps, dust bag waste, waste plastics from paper mills), and even household waste – into dense, high‑calorific solid fuel briquettes. Our ZZCHRYSO machine turns these waste materials into a valuable fuel for power plants, cement kilns, and industrial boilers.

A: The waste is first shredded to 30–60 mm and moisture adjusted to 15–25%. It is fed into the press chamber where a rotating main shaft drives press wheels against a flat die. Under high pressure, the material is forced through die holes, forming dense briquettes that drop out of the discharge port. No binder is needed – the pressure and friction heat bind the particles together.

A: A very wide range: agricultural waste (straw, rice husks, peanut shells, corn stalks, cotton stalks), wood waste (sawdust, bark, branches), industrial waste (cloth scraps, leather strips, waste plastics, rubber, textile waste), and even municipal solid waste after sorting. The machine is designed for heterogeneous, low‑bulk‑density materials.

A: Loose waste has a bulk density of only 30–50 kg/m³. After briquetting, the density increases to 800–1300 kg/m³ – about 20 times denser. This dramatically reduces storage space and transportation costs. A truckload of loose waste becomes just 1/20 of its original volume.

A: Typically 3000–5000 kcal/kg, depending on the waste composition. The combustion efficiency is over 40%, compared to only 10–20% for loose waste. The briquettes burn steadily with low emissions and can replace coal in large‑scale boilers.

A: Four models: CRS‑2600A (75 kW, 1.5–2.5 t/h), CRS‑3500A (110 kW, 2.5–3.5 t/h), CRS‑4500A (132 kW, 3–4.5 t/h), and CRS‑6000A (185 kW, 4–6 t/h). All produce 32×32 mm square briquettes. Hole counts range from 52 to 120. Voltage is 380V/50Hz (customizable).

A: High output and low energy consumption. Converts difficult‑to‑handle waste into a standardized fuel. Reduces landfill use and open burning. The briquettes have high density, long burn time, and low moisture content (<20%). They are ideal for co‑firing in coal power plants, helping industries reduce fossil fuel costs and carbon emissions.

A: Daily: check wear on dies and rollers, clean the feed inlet, remove any metal debris. Weekly: lubricate bearings and drive chains, inspect belt tension. Monthly: replace worn dies or rollers, calibrate pressure, check electrical connections. The machine is built with heavy‑duty components for long life. We provide a full manual and spare parts support.

A: Yes. They are widely used in coal‑fired power plants (co‑firing), waste‑to‑energy plants, cement plants, and industrial boilers. The briquettes have high volatile content (>75%) and stable combustion, allowing large‑scale substitution of coal while meeting emission standards.

A: Absolutely. It diverts waste from landfills and reduces methane emissions. The briquettes burn cleaner than loose waste or coal, with lower SOx and NOx. Our ZZCHRYSO machine supports circular economy and sustainable waste management, turning pollution into power.
